25. HBW 9. Just a question about how to grind without a mill...

I have grains for a brew, and yeast and hops also. But I can not brew it, since the grains are not milled. Should I soak it in water to make it grow, and mash it after. Or should i crush it by hand? I dont want to buy a mill, cause from now on I will only buy bags with already milled grain. I have found an online shop that sells "kits" with grain that is milled and ready to brew, yeast, hops. And everything is measured out. It is even made for the Beer Maker 30Beer Brew 30
