25. HBW 9. Just a question about how to grind without a mill...

I have grains for a brew, and yeast and hops also. But I can not brew it, since the grains are not milled. Should I soak it in water to make it grow, and mash it after. Or should i crush it by hand? I dont want to buy a mill, cause from now on I will only buy bags with already milled grain. I have found an online shop that sells "kits" with grain that is milled and ready to brew, yeast, hops.
